Who Am I?

Hey! I’m Luis — I’m 26, I’m Venezuelan, and I help people from all over the world speak real Spanish with confidence, clarity, and personality.
I work with professionals, travelers, expats, and language lovers who don’t just want to memorize grammar — they want to actually use the language in real life.

But here’s the thing: I never planned to become a Spanish teacher. Not even close. Teaching found me by surprise — and honestly, it changed my life in ways I never expected.

How It All Started

Back in 2017, I was in university studying culinary arts, dreaming of becoming a chef. One day, I was scrolling through Facebook and saw an ad: “Work as a Spanish teacher online.” I thought, “Why not? I could use some extra money.” And that’s how I taught my very first class — way before anyone even knew what Zoom was. What started as a side hustle turned into something way deeper.
I fell in love with teaching — with connecting to people, sharing cultures, and helping students build real skills and real confidence.

I’ve Been a Language Student Too

My own language journey started in 2015, when I enrolled in an English academy in Venezuela. I spent two full years learning tons of grammar — seriously, so much grammar. I passed all the levels and felt “ready.” But then, in 2017, I had my first real conversation with a native English speaker and thought:
“Oh no… they don’t speak like this.”

That moment changed everything for me. I realized that knowing the rules is not the same as being able to actually connect in the language. And that’s a lesson I bring into every Spanish class I teach now.

From Side Gig to Full-Time Passion

In 2019, I moved abroad (Medellín, Colombia)— just before the pandemic changed everything.
During lockdown, teaching online became my full-time thing. I spent 4 years working with different language companies, learning what works (and what doesn’t). And after helping hundreds of students and seeing what they truly needed, I decided it was time to build something of my own.

That’s how ELE Method was born — a simple, human, and effective way to help you actually speak Spanish from day one.

So… why learn Spanish with me?

Because I’ve been where you are. I know what it feels like to stare at someone and think “I understood nothing.” To know all the grammar rules — and still freeze when it’s time to talk. But I also know the shortcuts. The mindset shifts. The little hacks that make Spanish click.
I’ve helped 600+ students go from confused to confident — even with the “hard stuff” like ser vs estar, por vs para, and all those verbs that never seem to follow the rules. Learning Spanish with me isn’t just about classes. It’s about experiencing the language, building real skills, and finally feeling like… “I can actually do this.”

Let’s make that happen — together.
